Police Detain Four Ada SHTS Students Over Viral Cutlass Threat Video
Four students from Ada Senior High Technical School have been taken into custody after a video showing a student threatening others with a cutlass spread online.
The Tema Regional Police Command said officers spotted the footage on social media around 12:10 a.m. on Friday and immediately sent a night patrol team to the school with help from school officials.
Those arrested are Raymond Gyamfi, Oscar Amemoair, Odartey Wilson, and a minor. All four are in police custody assisting with investigations.
Police didn’t give details on what led to the incident. They urged students to settle disputes through school channels and avoid violence, and asked parents and school authorities to improve supervision and discipline to keep schools safe.
Investigations are ongoing, and the command said more updates will follow.
